Sky Mavis announces first 7 games in Ronin Forge program, including Cambria and Kuroro Beasts
Despite the recent announcements of new games coming to its Ronin blockchain including Tatsumeeko, Ragnarok: Monster World and Lumiterra, Sky Mavis isn’t stopping any time soon.
It’s now announced the first seven games that have been accepted from 151 applications for its Ronin Forge program, which is a way of onboarding games to the blockchain with a grant of $50,000 and technical support.
The games are:
- Cambria – a risk-to-earn MMO with onchain wagering, which originally launched on Blast,
- Infomon – a Pokemon-inspired socialfi game with AI pets, which is migrating from Base,
- Kuroro Beasts – a set of creature-collecting games including Kuroro Ranch, Kuroro Beast Brawl and Kuroro Wilds, which is migrating from Arbitrum,
- Last Odyssey – a self-styled conquer-to-earn 5x strategy game, which recently raised funds from Animoca and OKX,
- Party Icons – a community-focused mobile party game mixing battle royale, strategy and extraction shooting,
- Xtremeverse – its first release is anime mobile extraction shooter BTX Battle Xtreme, and finally
- Pixel Heroes Adventure – a mobile MMORPG, which is migrating from Immutable.
The best performing titles will also get the opportunity for additional support including $500,000 in grants and direct publishing from Sky Mavis.
“We’re proud to welcome our inaugural first seven studios to Ronin Forge, where they can tap into two of our greatest assets – our powerful community and technology. This premier onboarding program is designed for proven innovators and ambitious studios ready to scale their projects on the number one gaming chain. Forge is the gateway to deeper integration within Ronin, where serious games gain momentum and prepare for broader success within web3 gaming,” commented Sky Mavis COO Aleksander Leonard Larsen.
